We’re delighted that the free ‘upfront’ assessment option has proven to be very popular with developers, but the popularity has led to a huge waiting list – mainly because we have to, as advertised, prioritise paid-for impact assessments ahead of free assessments.

So whilst we continue to welcome all potential DL scheme enquiries into our ‘free assessment’ process, please be aware that the queue for the free service currently stands at 3 months. If you need your assessment in a hurry then paying a first-stage fee continues to guarantee a report within 10 working days.

We don’t want to lose the ‘free assessment’ option and we’re working hard to bring waiting times down – we’ve taken on more staff, and refined our procedures; we will continue to update everyone on waiting list times over the coming months.
