Sam studied at Bangor University graduating with a BSc in Zoology with Conservation. During his time at university, he carried out fieldwork in the Western Ghats, a well-known biodiversity hotspot and perfectly complemented his interest in herpetology. He then progressed to lecture in further education at a wildlife hospital, dealing hands on with a range of different British wildlife. Following this he worked for Milton Keynes City Council as a Countryside Officer specialising in Great crested newt licensing before joining NatureSpace in 2025 using his experience to support the Operations Team.
