How an Organisational Licence can help you
It is no secret that licensing for great crested newts has gained a reputation for being slow, complex and expensive, especially when there is a lot of ground to cover. If you deal with big infrastructure, our Organisational Licence could give you full flexibility when it comes to great crested newts, saving you time and money while ensuring complete operational efficiency.
A licence designed for your works
We design a unique solution tailored to your needs, eliminating the need for you to apply to Natural England every time you need to deal with newts. Once the licence is set up, you are covered for all works that you undertake – such as for utilities, rail or road networks. It is a solution to cover a huge range of operational needs, from specific strategic-level projects to maintenance activities.
Whilst each Licence will meet its Organisation’s unique needs, all our schemes embed our core conservation principles, provide a year-round licensing route with no need for surveys, and offer full support from us every step of the way.
Better conservation for newts
Most importantly, the NatureSpace licensing schemes enable our conservation strategy for great crested newts, whereby fees for each project paid to NatureSpace go directly to off-site habitat compensation, which is delivered, managed and monitored by our partners, the Newt Conservation Partnership.
