Maria has a BSc in Zoology, and completed an MSc by Research which focused on the effects of microplastics and climate change on the sensory ecology of aquatic species. During her studies she pursued research expeditions to Peru in order to compare herptile survey methodologies. Before joining the NatureSpace technical team in January 2024, Maria worked in admissions and partnership management for higher education institutions.
