Jennie has a BSc in Animal Behaviour and an MSc in Zoo Conservation Biology. During her time as a postgraduate, she undertook field surveys of frogs in Ecuador and collected environmental data to better inform habitat conservation. She went on to lecture in further and higher education, with a subject specialism of ecology and conservation. She is a council member of the British Herpetological Society and volunteers with national herpetological research projects. She joined NatureSpace in January 2023.
