Aidan is an experienced ecologist with an in-depth knowledge of spatial ecology. Within NatureSpace Aidan’s role is to model the distribution of great crested newts and create impact risk zones (IRZs) which assess habitat suitability for great crested newts. Aidan developed his interest in modelling during his PhD research which used species distribution modelling to investigate the relationship between native amphibian species and a non-native frog. Prior to joining NatureSpace Aidan worked as an environmental consultant for 14 years and gained expertise in a range of ecological survey planning and techniques.
