Business Support Assistant

Salary: £25,750 pa + company benefits

Duration: Full time (32hrs, 4-day week*)
*We are conducting a gold standard 4 day week trial, with possibility to become a permanent change. Full time hours outside of the trial are 40hrs per week, Monday to Friday.

The role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator to work on a ground-breaking project, working to deliver a step-change in the conservation of great crested newts. This role would suit a business administrator looking to join a growing, friendly company that is working with planning authorities and NGOs to deliver better conservation outcomes for great crested newts. The postholder will be responsible for supporting the NatureSpace team with administrative tasks as well as following defined processes and protocols, working within the Business Support Team. Attention to detail and a meticulous approach to recording information, customer service, as well as the ability to work confidently, are paramount for this post. Milton Keynes Council post: Countryside Officer (GCN District Licensing)

Milton Keynes Council are recruiting a GCN (Great Crested Newt) District Licensing Officer to work closely with us at NatureSpace to deliver the District Licence Scheme within Milton Keynes.

You will understand the extent, scope, and detail of the District Licensing scheme, raise awareness of the scheme within the local planning authority, understand planning and licensing requirements, and monitor and advise on compliance and enforcement measures.

You’ll work closely with colleagues, developers and private sector ecologists to provide a complete package of support on the operation of the District Licence for GCN, covering everything from identifying GCN constraints within planning applications to supporting the creation of compensatory habitats and providing ad-hoc guidance to both developers and operational colleagues.
